Lost. A Post on Food Blogger Forum Orlando 2012

February 25, 2013 in Pretty Pictures, Reviews

Have you all ever lost anything? Something you KNOW you had done? You could see the time spent on it and the end product but when you went to look where it should be, it was gone??  Well this post is about THAT.

Last year around this time, I was lucky enough to travel to Orlando to attend Food Blogger Forum in Orlando with many beautiful and talented friends. Julie from The Little Kitchen, Susan from She’s Becoming Doughmesstic, Brandi from Branappetit, Paula from Bellalimento, Leslie from Hungry Housewife, just to name a few! It was an amazing weekend. I had done such a good job of documenting it. I watched my grammar (thanks to David Leite’s feedback during one of the sessions), I’m pretty sure I didn’t use the word “delicious” (again, thanks to David). I had pictures and information.  I GUSHED! It was easily the best, most informative conference I have been to yet. We were well taken care of!

So here is my second attempt. If THIS get’s lost, I am traveling to each person’s house and telling my Food Blogger Forum tales to each and every one of you…with slide shows! (if I could afford it!)

First of all….going to Orlando from Montana in March is just DREAMY! and WARM!  We were all escorted on a Disney bus to our Disney hotel where we were greeted with a cute Disney towel on our bed…

Later that afternoon we all gathered for a meet and greet, complete with amazing food, drinks…and of course weather. Man I love my blogger friends. I loved how small and intimate it felt, but I still had the opportunity to meet new friends and be awestruck by them.

Like I said, the people and the food were amazing (the people are STILL amazing).

I had no idea what an experience this would be. It effected the whole way I look at my blogging. The words I choose, the way I arrange them, how I tell the story; these are all a part of me and how I give these gifts to you matters.

We were honored to learn from some of the very best. We learned about food styling from Aran of Cannelle et Vanille, Photography from Todd Porter and Diana Cu of White on Rice Couple, The power of telling a story from David Leite, The impact of social media from Julie Dailey. I have put all of these into my blogging life. I am continuing to learn and hope to learn even more but they have impacted my life more than can be explained.

We had lots of goodies to take home to our families as well!

Oh we had PLENTY of time to play too!
